Pumpkin Patch 2013

One sunny afternoon the girls and I loaded up and ran down the road a few miles to Detering Orchards to get some pumpkins. It's not a "pick your own" patch, but still fun. They have some of the best apples, cider, apple butter....you name it!

Trying to get a picture of the 2 of them lately has been quite the task. Lauren has been in the "ugh, mom!" phase and if she does, I get a weird smile.  Adalynn would rather give me a "cheese" smile when I'm not ready....or does it facing in the opposite direction!  And it's virtually impossible when visiting somewhere new!

 That's a heavy one!
 Just her size!
Had to be like sissy and do it all by herself.
The only photo of the 2 of them....proud Pumpkin pickers!
This is Adalynn's new "I'm shy" pose!
Taking our haul to pay and them home!
While mom was paying, the girls found the farm dog. What a life!
We had put off going to the pumpkin patch this year because we were suppose to be closing on a house late October. But it fell through. : ( So hopefully next year we'll be more on top of it!
