Here Lauren is, sad that Mike and Mindy weren't home yet! Daddy "flew" over the pass which meant that we got into town WAY early. But luckily Mindy had had enough work for the week and was able to take off a tad early!
Taking some pictures in front of their home. Mindy had just done the bark treatment at the entry last weekend. Lauren helped the dogs pack them around the yard this weekend, but I think most of them were put back before we left!
On Saturday us girls took off and headed for Leavenworth while the boys went and shot their muzzleloaders. It's a cute little Bavarian town tucked up in the mountains on Hwy 2. It was about an hour from Ellensburg which was great timing for a nap for Lauren in the morning and one in the afternoon on the way home! We had lunch on the second floor patio at Gustav's. It was great! Did some shopping.....and I fell in love with a store called "Kris Kringle"....you can guess what's in it! Mindy and I decided that will be our "thing" when we visit them, except for when their is mountains of snow!
Here Lauren is coloring at Gustav's waiting patiently for lunch.....it was pretty patient for her! Mindy has a bunch of pictures as well that I will post once she sends them to me...so stay tuned for Part 2 of Leavenworth.
Once we got home Lauren needed to stretch her legs. What better way than to herd Pickle, their Corgi dog! It was very ironic. Lauren started calling for "Pickle" before we left and would chase after her when she wondered off. Here she is running back.
Realizing that Pickle had beat her back!
And she's off again!
Mike and Mindy have a garden gnome in their flower bed. Lauren kept saying "baby sleep".
She was pretty into the gnome and even tried to pack it off once.
Here's a few pictures of Mike and Mindy's neighbors' sunflowers. They were so pretty and you can see the beautiful blue sky that we were soaking up. I even got a little pink to my skin from being out and about in Leavenworth. Nothing like a little sun before winter!
PS- Lauren did excellent with the potty over the weekend. This was the first trip since starting and thankfully NO accidents. She wore a diaper on the drive over and was dry once we got into Ellensburg. Just in case, she wore one of the way home as well and actually told us that she needed to go potty. Daddy was able to get to a fast food restaurant and find a bathroom! And Lauren held it until then! Phew!
