The House

Finally...the pictures everyone has been requesting. Ok, so it's not all of them, but it will have to tide you all over.

Obviously the front of the house. It has a nice covered deck on the front that is north facing, so it will be nice to sit at this summer and watch Lauren play. The road we live on is a private lane and there are only 6 houses after ours.

Here's the kitchen. The cabinets are gorgeous and it's very roomy. It has a pantry, which is an A+++!!!

This is the living area. The kitchen is to the right and the hallway to the back left is to the Jack'n'Jill bathroom with 2 bedrooms. There is a small wood stove on the wall that is to the left of the picture.

Lauren's room....which is definitely NOT decorated. I had wanted to do a ladybug theme, but I'm abandoning that idea since the wall is a red-orange. So I think we will just go with "color". She was almost insistant that a bright horse water color that daddy bought mommy be hung in her room......so that's where it will go!
This is the other room that attaches to the Jack'n'Jill bath. I think we'll end up getting a trundle for underneath for the time being.

This is a our doe that hangs out in the yard quite a bit. I think she was so use to the house being empty, she's kind of moved in! She showed up the other morning with twins! Spots and all, too cute.

So that's all for now. The spare room is currently doubling as an office until we get a router and the master bedroom, well it still has boxes most everywhere. And the dining room is somewhat a staging area, besides the garage!!!! So maybe in a few months there will be more pics! Once we actually start "living" in the house!

What a day for a Slip n' Slide!

Here's a pic from today on the slip n' slide. Lauren loves water but needed help figuring out what to do with the slip n' slide. She ended up just playing with in the water! She was shaking because it was cold well water! So it didn't last long. But she had fun!

Our new home!

Ok, so these aren't the pictures that everyone has been bugging me for. I'll get those just as soon as some more boxes disappear and things get "decorated". We don't have anything on the walls yet and it doesn't feel very homey! But here are some pictures of Lauren playing outside yesterday. It was beautiful....a bit muggy....but nice.

"Welcome to my home! C'mon in!" Lauren in her new playhouse....don't worry we actually let her sleep inside!

At the top of her new fort that Daddy bought her.

Everything matches...which was NOT planned.

Wild driver! I'm not responsible for teaching her how to drive when she turns 16.
Taking time for a sip of Capri Sun. She downed 2 of them! It's hard work being little! She was also "helping" daddy put together the Adirondack chairs mommy bought. They turned out really nice, but were more work than dad hoped! But the price was right!
Mom, look what I can do!
Lauren climbed to the top of her changing table, grabbed the wipes and the powder and went to town on her new room.
Why aren't you laughing mom???? Boy was I ticked.
This was after a hard day of putting away boxes! She crashed in her room without anyone noticing. Just found a pile of blankets and called it a day!
So far she's adjusting well to the move. She likes the BIG house to run and play. Nights she wakes up screaming about 1/2 way through them. We are working on staying in our crib and not being so needy. But it's easier said than done. Maybe once I make it "her" room, she'll understand. Blinds would be good too so both her and daddy aren't waking up with the sun!

Washington Bound!

Tomorrow Lauren and I leave for Washington to meet Daddy to sign the closing papers for our new home. If all goes as planned, we should have the keys and be moving in this weekend. Grandma and Grandpa will be bringing Biscuit up to help us move. It will be a little stressful the next few days living a hotel and doing the "hurry up and wait" thing, but by this time next week we should be settling into our new place. So goodbye, dear Oregon. It's been fun, but bigger things await for us to the north! Give us a few weeks to get settled and we'll be in touch as Washingtonians!

Swimsuit season?

Well swimsuit weather has been hit or miss. These pics were taken the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. Thankfully Daddy packed the pool in the trailer instead of the POD, so we were able to break it out at Grandma and Grandpa's house. He also filled it with WARM water.....thanks dad! It was very enjoyable. She had an audience while "hot tubbing" in it.

She's becoming a great bubble blower! We'll have to start more lessons once we get settled in Washington. Our realtor showed us a great YMCA that has a couple of pools, etc. Hopefully we can get into a summer class!

Lauren's First Kiss

Yes, that's right. Lauren's first kiss that wasn't a relative happened last weekend. She is a little bit too forward with her kisses and now everyone receives kisses when we say Bye. We're working on blowing kisses so it's not so intimate!

We went to the ranch to visit Nana and Papa before the big move to Washington. Auntie B stopped by with Sam and Syd and a friend's little boy Bowen. Bowen is just over 2 and Lauren took immediately to him. Next thing we knew she wouldn't keep her hands off him! And guess what, mommy just happened to have her camera to capture the moment for life!

First Lauren had to pin him against the couch.

Then it was pucker up time! I don't think there was any resistance.....it looks like both of them puckered!

I think Bowen's face says it all! It was a kiss and run situation! And the cousins were there just feeding the situation!
Daddy has his work cut out for him....ALREADY!
