She shares!!

Last night Lauren had some corn on the cob...literally. Not cut off the cob like normal. She did great and she even shares!

Look to see if everyone is watching.

The offering....

...and the sharing with none other than Biscuit!

For those with weak stomachs....look away. Ok, I warned you....back to Lauren.....

...and back to Biscuit!

What can we say, at least she's sharing!

Ice Cream Truck?

For those of you who have visited or at least have an idea of where we live, you will understand my surprise to hear the familiar sound of an ice cream truck. It was cooler last week so we had the windows opened much of the days. And it was Lauren who alerted mom to the recognizable tune! So of course we walked out in our camo t-shirts and sweatpants to greet the ice cream truck, boy did we look like a pair. She's been doing very well potty training, so it was time for a reward. Lauren got a push-pop, mom got a cotton candy popscicle and Biscuit got a dog treat! I thought the push-pop would be less messy....think again!

Lauren Update

So things have been busy the last couple of weeks. Two words: POTTY TRAINING. Good times! I'll update more later on that, but here are some things we have been doing.

Daddy was gone a couple nights....however that was the first since we've been up here which was a drastic change from Oregon. Here Lauren is talking to Dada on the phone....one of her favorite things to do.

In the front yard doing some golfing between pool time! She takes after her mother with this sport....poor form and rarely hits the ball!

"Go to your home! Are you too good for your home?!" She has some Happy Gilmore moments!

Here Lauren is in a new swimsuit. It's a 3T, but fits, which I'm confused! She's also sporting a ponytail! Yes her hair really is that long!

Hamming it up for mom and the camera!

Lauren....diaperless!

Her toothy grin! Her canines on the bottom have broken through and I expect her top ones soon.

Jake had her working, watering the lawn when she was done with pool time. The horrible ponytail is what mommy gets while she tries to fix her hair while Lauren sits on the toilet.

Our Oregon trip

The entire family made the Oregon trip to see family and friends for the Oregon Jamboree. Mommy and Lauren made the trip a day earlier so Biscuit could get a haircut at her normal groomer in time for the hot weather. We were able to meet up with Sandy (Lauren's babysitter's mom) for a couple hours. It was soooo nice to catch up with her and can't wait for them to come visit. Here's a pic of Lauren at the park. I took other ones but she was running to fast and ended up being a blur with mommy's little camera.

On Saturday we went to the campsite for Jamboree. Lauren got her first taste of a "Fun Dip". She was digging it and she ended up being on a sugar high!

We were just trying to get Lauren to eat some dinner which consisted mostly of fruit and then Shaylinn said "Lauren do you want a cookie!?" Of course the fruit was dropped and she ran for the cookie! And so the sugar high continued! Here she is with Shaylinn and McKenzie.

Completely spazzing out!

The good news was that she slept from the point we put her in the car at 6:30 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next morning! I think it was a sugar induced coma.

On Sunday we talked daddy into some shopping at the Woodburn Company Stores. Then we stopped by the Kilgore's new house which is in construction mode. It's going to be beautiful. Lauren was digging the hammock swing in the backyard!

Then it was back to grandma and grandpa's for some blueberries.....

and swimming......

and flowers......

Then a nap in grandma's chair. It rocks and this wasn't the only time I caught her napping in it!

On Tuesday we left for Central Oregon. Daddy had his work's staff and board retreat in Bend. So we took advantage of it and spent one vacation night at the Brasada Ranch between Bend and Redmond. It was gorgeous and highly recommended!

This was our room....notice the "window" to the right.

It opened into the bathroom! Notice how big the tub is compared to Lauren's head!

This was the entry way with a small kitchen-type area.

The living space with fireplace...not that it's needed this time of year!

The fireplace was also outside.

Here's the view of the pool from our balcony.

Lauren taking a nap after 2 hours in the fancy pool!

This was the view from our balcony.....but the mountains weren't visible because of the wildfire that broke out Sunday before we got there.

The driving range.....Daddy and Cindy (one of his coworkers) took advantage of the extremely nice golf course.

The ponies at the ranch. They have an equestrian facility, which unfortunately we didn't get to visit. The pool was WAY to much fun!

That night the inversion layer changed and the fire was very visible. It was 6 miles south of Sisters.

The 3 Sisters were almost directly behind the fire.

The next morning the smoke was low enough, you could actually make out the mountains.

Wednesday we left Brasada (sigh) and went to Bend for Jake's work retreat. We met up with our friends Libby and Evie for breakfast, did some shopping at the Outlets and hung out at the hotel waiting for Lauren to take a nap! Finally she went down at 4 and was up at 6 in time for dinner at 7 p.m. with Jake's coworkers at Anthony's. We had the entire upstairs, which Lauren (and Evie) took full advantage of. Everyone was so nice and accommodating for Miss Lauren. She wore a super cute outfit from Auntie Emily and looked adorable.

We left the next morning to head back to Lebanon. On Friday we spent some time with our friends Carley, Spencer and Allison then did some shopping with Grandma. Mommy went with her friend Erin to the Antique Fair in Brownsville on Saturday and then we headed for home! Mommy scored a cute old wood desk that Lauren loves. It was so good to see friends and family. However, it has been nice to be home. It's nice to call it home. It finally feels like home.
