Oregon State Fair 2013

At the end of August we took in the Oregon State Fair. It has been a few years since Mommy attended but honestly, not a lot has changed. (Except I was shocked you can walk around with a beer now, but no I did not partake with 3 children in tow!)
First stop was to see Dottie. She was so stinking funny. It's Brent and Kim's girl McKenzie's pig.  She actually started oinking and wagging her tail when she saw us! So cute that I almost bought into Lauren's little "I want a pig" world! I said almost. McKenzie and Miss Dottie went on to win Champion Breed Pig the very next day!
Then we had to see the piglets....a staple of the Oregon State Fair.
We then tracked down Miss Sydney's presentation board.  She received a red award. I think she was a little disappointed (red was not good at the Coos County fair).
However this made her think twice. Some kids that went to state didn't even get a ribbon and were on display only. Something to strive for next year!
We then went to get their face painted.
Lauren scored a glittery unicorn.
Sydney got a fancy fairy!
Off to see the "exotic" animals in the family fun zone.
They even played a few games, everybody won a prize. Lauren's a big scaredy cat on rides right now, but she entered the Fun House with her cousin.
I think they had a good time. But I have to admit the following picture was totally unintentional. The large "jugs" on the left of Sydney......um ya, didn't really notice those when I took the picture.
We watched some dock dogs....and the pit bull jumped the farthest!
Next to the giant Etch-A-Sketch in the Retro Toy Expo trying to wait out a rain storm.
On the way back to the car, we stopped by the horse arena. The Draft Horses were having their pulling show. Gorgeous. It was raining and a good place to be. Adalynn was tired and needed a nap, but you couldn't tell by this picture.
It was a great time with my 3 girls!  So nice to have Sydney along with us! And so fun to be able to reconnect being a little closer than our Washington stint.  <3 it="">

Art and Air Festival

In August we got to have Sydney for a night and then for an entire weekend! So the first time we went to the Art and Air Festival in Albany. The night glow was extremely short and kind of a waste. Then again Lauren had a great time and that's all that matters.
Lauren's favorite was the Panda, so that's where we parked ourselves in the sea of people.
Sydney and I like the one to the left of the Panda, it was the most colorful.
Wish I would have had my tripod, but there's always next year!

OSU Volleyball Black and Orange Game

Daddy was out of town one evening, so the girls and I headed to Corvallis to watch the Volleyball scrimmage.  So nice to be back in Oregon and able to do that!
Of course Bald Baby had to attend too. And Lauren bought into the "reBeav" unfortunately.
Adalynn was a little unsure of the whole thing, but Lauren loved it....after she got over the fact that it was "volleyball" and "bowling ball".....(minor miss communication on mom's part).
Lauren got to see Benny and that's all that really mattered!  Adalynn screamed bloody murder....and all Benny did was squat down at a distance and wave at her.
Oh joy! I can't wait for our Santa photo this year!

Horseback Ride

In August we ran out to Brent and Kim's to see their new addition....a little teacup pig. So cute. His name is Stitch. But once we were there we had to check out the horses too. And Lauren even got to take a little Horseback Ride.
Lauren loved Stitch and is determined we should get one. (Probably not)
Adalynn brought both Bald Babies to visit Stitch. I'm not sure what she thought of it though.
 Watching sissy horseback ride.....
A sunset ride is always best! Thank you Kim for a great memory for Miss L. If we would have known, I wouldn't have had her in her city slicker clothes! Who rides a horse in sandals??
Loved this horse. What a great babysitter!
And one last goodbye to Stitch!
Great evening with great friends!
