Mariners Game

Yesterday we took a family trip to a Mariners game. Daddy took the day off since the Atlanta Braves were in town. Here's our little Mariners fan with her new foam finger! I think we are all getting a little spoiled with MLB an hour away!

The view from our seats. The weather was even cooperating for the game, so the roof was off as you can see it in the background.

Lauren and mommy took a trip to the Moose Den so Lauren could finally see HER Moose. She did say that Benny Beaver is better!

When we arrived in the Moose Den she ran up to Moose after patiently waiting for some other kids to finish and showed him an "owie" on her arm and her new foam finger. Then ran to the picture on the right and said "Look Moose it's you!" Then she stood for her picture. She loved it. When we left she was saying "Bye Moose, see you soon!" which is typical Lauren. Now it's all she can talk about....even this morning!

The Mariners lost 5-3, but Lauren fell asleep in bed with her jeans and Mariners shirt on. So it must have been a good day!

Last weekend

Even though it wasn't very warm, we took advantage of the sun last weekend. We filled the pool up with warm water and had a blast.

Saturday Lauren sported her flower swimsuit.

Her cutesie pose!

Running, which she does all the time.

Biscuit got in on the action on Sunday. She started pawing at the fish on the bottom of the pool. This is Lauren helping her.

Biscuit "digging" in the water.....

More digging.

Daddy taught Lauren how to slide on her belly down the slide. Notice the new swimsuit...I think she has 5 this summer. This one is Dora that Nana Julie picked out for Easter.

The entry....head stays above water.

We even got out the slip-n-slide. This was cold well water though! Brrr....Daddy still has to "throw" Lauren down the slide.

More sliding...even mommy and daddy got in on the action, but you won't see pictures on here.

Here's Lauren doing it herself. She started running about 10 feet back. But practically stopped to get on the slip-n-slide.

This is the farthest she got!

We finally had to make her stop and go inside to warm up. Now the poor thing seems to be battling a cold.....or allergies, not really sure. But the cough makes me think it's a cold. Hopefully it will be a quick one with the 4th just around the corner.

71 degrees and SUNNY!

Yesterday it was 71 degrees! Yeah for summer! Of course Lauren wanted to play outside. Here are some pics of our beautiful day.

Lauren on the new deck!

Lauren loves to jump on the green lids to the septic tank.

The pose......

I love this pictures of Miss Thing. And I love my camera!

Here's a pic of her most recent "boo boo". She seems to get a new one every day. At Mom's Club Friday, the other older kids were playing a bit rough and Lauren somehow took the blunt of it with a goose egg on her forehead. It's a pretty black and blue mark above her nose, below her hairline.

Lauren has discovered her shadow. It seems to only appear on sunny days and before bed (her nightlight helps with that one). She's infatuated with it!

New Pool for Summer

Last weekend Daddy bought Lauren a new pool for the summer. We've had a hint of summer with the sun peeking out and it reaching 70 degrees. Whoopee! So we broke it out and filled it with warm water.

Lauren counting to 10.....or so she thinks.

Lauren pretending to take a picture with her camera of mommy!

New Bed

While in Oregon, we bought Lauren a new full size bed. We call it her "Big Girl Bed" and she's pretty proud to sleep in it. She seems to be sleeping better and sleeps in longer. Could be a coincidence, but no matter why, it's a good thing!

The previous picture was the official first night. The next pic is a few nights later with all of her babies.

Mommy is making Lauren a rag quilt for her bed. However the rag quilting snips she bought, broke and are being sent back for a replacement set. So it may be a couple weeks before you see those pictures posted.

Running off some energy!

On Sunday when we returned from Oregon, we unloaded our new patio furniture and enjoyed the new deck. We finally allowed Lauren to run on the new dirt and she thought it was grand! If you listen closely you can hear her "car" noises. She does a great "beep beep" and a mean "vroooom"! It was hysterical. Then at the end she expects you to clap and she proceeds to bow! What a crack up.

Oregon trip.....again!

Last weekend was yet another trip to Oregon to watch Beaver Baseball. The weather was beautiful and Lauren enjoyed the baseball games, even though Benny Beaver was never seen. In between the games, we soaked up some sun at Meema and Papa's.

Lauren "planted" flowers in the pots on her house. I say "planted" because they were fake flowers and no dirt! But she got into it!

Meema helped.

TaDa!

Lauren did some relaxing on the swing with Papa.

And she even visited the cows. No matter if it's living or not, her response to meeting someone or something is "Nice to meet you" or the most common one: "How (or what) you doing?" This day it was "Hi Cows! How you doin'!"

They aren't tame critters but were very curious of Lauren.

One let her touch him. She got pretty excited.

I thought this pic was adorable.

So over all it was a fantastic weekend. The Beavers won and we soaked up some sun. However we all are certainly glad to be home for awhile. No trips planned. So just some relaxing on the new deck, enjoying the backyard!

Nap Time

After returning from a busy weekend...Lauren was exhausted. On Monday, Daddy and Mommy were both doing stuff around the house. When it was too quiet, I went on a mission to find Lauren. I knew she was tired and needed a nap, but I did NOT expect to find her in her doll cradle. Poor thing. And no, I didn't leave her there....I moved her to her bed. Guess there's no need to upgrade to a big girl bed after all!

Counting

Ok, so it's baby steps on the counting progress but it's a start! Some days she counts better in Spanish! You have to turn the volume up a lot....she whispers 3, 4 and 5 for some odd reason.

Last weekend

We spent the Holiday weekend in Oregon. Lauren and mommy got to visit some friends while Daddy went to baseball games. Friday night we spent with Carson and his mommy Erin. We drug them around in Papa's truck. Here we are waiting out a blustery rain storm before running to the mall! This was post Lauren hitting Carson in the head with a Hot Wheel and leaving tire marks.....and prior to Lauren yelling making Carson hold his ears in disbelief one person could be so loud/annoying. Needless to say, Carson couldn't get out of the truck fast enough when we got home!

On Saturday we went to Carley's graduation/birthday party. I tried to get Lauren to nap prior to the party, but that didn't happen. So unfortunately we didn't get to stay very long, but it was good to see the Brownsville gang.

We ran to Sweet Home and saw Gram Gram. Got some Cedar Shack burgers while we were there....yum! We did lots of running around.....thankfully Papa let us use his truck to do so!
